Online Tools to be Productive

  • Zotero – a free online tool that helps keep information organized (e.g. for writing papers, doing research, etc.) using tags and keywords; it has an extension that can help students create citations, and any work can be exported to Google Docs or Microsoft Word.
  • Insight Timer – a free app aimed at reducing anxiety and stress; useful for online students who are also balancing work or family, or who may feel overwhelmed with coursework that lacks the personal connection.
  • My Study Life – free online planning tool where students can organize their schedules, exams, assignments, etc. Can be synced across all devices.
  • Evernote – also syncs across devices; can be used to collaborate for online group work (by creating a “team”) or just to take notes.
