Katelyn Bennett ’24 is a Biology major with concentrations in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Biotechnology, and she has a minor in Chemistry. She was recently accepted to be a part of the Naval Research Enterprise Program this fall. It is a 40- hour virtual internship program that connects students with Department of Navy projects and mentors. Katelyn was selected to be a part of the Naval Medical Research Unit (NMRU) out of San Antonio, TX, and she states that she is “excited to learn more about biomedical research in the Navy, and how this contributes to their mission.” Katelyn is also on the varsity women’s field hockey team and tutors in the tutoring and math center!
