The Somerville Times offers internships as an opportunity for writers to write for school credit, published clips for their resume or just for the joy of writing.

Every week, an email with story ideas will be sent for the coming edition of The Somerville Times, usually there will be meetings, events, feature pieces, music, arts etc. If anyone sees a story they would like to cover they let me know, whoever lets me know first gets the story. I also welcome writers coming up with their own story ideas as long as it is an idea related to Somerville in some way since we are a community paper.

Some writers write every week some write every month, whatever fits their schedule. There is no time frame for this opportunity. If it is for school credit we will follow the guidelines required for you to receive credit.

Somerville is such a busy city; there is always something to cover. The paper is a weekly paper which is published every Wednesday, we are also online at www.thesomervilletimes.com
