iRobot seeks a Privacy Intern/Co-Op to support privacy operations across the company. The ideal candidate will be passionate about consumer privacy (particularly in the IoT space), eager to learn about data protection and risk management, and will possess a background in either policy, business, or computer science. The Intern/Co-Op will report to the Director of Privacy.
What You Will Do:
-Assist with supplier risk management by evaluating prospective vendors' privacy policies and practices;
-Assist with Privacy Impact Assessments and data flow mapping;
-Assist with policy drafting and training material development;
-Conduct research and analysis on global privacy/data protection regulations; learn how they apply to the IoT industry generally and iRobot
-If majoring in a technical field, collaborate with engineering and product security teams to develop privacy-supporting architecture.
To Be Successful You Will Have:
-Interest in privacy law, data security, and IoT technology;
-Basic knowledge of data privacy principles;
-Strong research, writing, analytical, and oral communication skills;
-Empathy and a good sense a humor;
-Recommended interest in privacy program management and business operations.
