JOIN OUR TEAM AS A SECURITY TECH!

Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?

The Security Tech functions guard, patrol, or monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. This position provides support as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through geriatrics. Security Techs work under the direction of the RN supervisor.

  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Escort individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection.
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Assist with patient management in crisis situations.
  • Assists unit as directed by Nursing Supervisor.
  • Comply with the established policies and procedures requiring a safe, clean and therapeutic environment.
  • Report potential crisis situations to the nurse in charge and responds in an appropriate fashion.
  • Supervise and assist patients in all patient areas.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

  • Education & Licensure (if applicable): High School Degree or equivalent preferred; or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred;
    Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred. Must maintain a valid driver’s license in the applicable state.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
  • Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion CPI and CPR within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Shift Requirements:

  • Tuesday – Saturday
  • 10:00am – 6:30pm
  • 11:00am – 7:30pm

Compensation:

This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range for this role is $25.00 – $30.00 hourly. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Security Tech!
