The Fall River Deaconess Home is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our residential Healthcare Team. This position is part-time, 24 hours per week, with a possibility of becoming full time. The part-time position includes full benefits! Recent Graduates are welcome.
Deaconess Home is a private, non-profit, community-based agency serving youth and their families. Deaconess provides educational, mental health, and health care services to youth and families. Deaconess employees approximately one hundred staff, offering a positive work environment where staff from all disciplines work together to provide high quality care.
Job Profile:
The LPN reports directly to the Nurse Manager and is a member of the overall agency team providing direct services to youth and their families.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Medication Administration
– Triage of medical needs of the youth in the program
– Assistance with Health Record Maintenance
– Direct Resident supervision
– Utilize and implement behavior support techniques
– Reporting on youth quarterly progress towards health care goals
– Attending Treatment Planning and Quarterly Progress Review meetings
– Scheduling and attending health care appointments
– Review immunization records, order and administer necessary immunization
– Health Care Education to Youth
– Participate in intakes of Youth to the program
– Monitor weight and nutrition needs status of youth
Qualifications:
– Licensed Practical Nursing license from board approved practical nursing program.
– Good boundaries
– Proven oral and written communication skills
– Significant attention to detail, and the ability to work collegially with a wide variety of individuals inside and outside the Program
– Proficient computer skills including word processing and excel
– Valid driver’s license
– Pass all necessary background checks
Schedule:
Sunday 5pm-10pm, Monday 5pm-10pm, Tuesday 5pm-10pm, Wednesday 9am-4pm, Thursday 5pm-10pm
