The BCH Department of Neurology is seeking an undergraduate student to commit 12-15 hours per week for a semester-long internship. Candidates must be enrolled in a course that will issue credit for the experience in lieu of salary (or take part in a directed study). The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with nationwide recruitment of subjects for validation of a Narcolepsy Screening tool, extracting detailed information from medical records and conducting data entry. Depending on the intern’s skill level, he/she may be asked to assist with sleep EEG data processing and analyses.
The ideal candidate will be very well organized, extremely detail oriented, self-directed, have experience with data analysis and be comfortable with making study phone calls. Training will be provided under the direction of the project manager and research team. Additional opportunities to assist on other related projects may exist if desired. Additional opportunities throughout the summer and next school year also exist.
