As a BNN Audit Staff or Intern, you must be an enthusiastic individual ready to assist in conducting audits of large and medium-sized companies in a variety of industries. You will analyze and test financial transactions for proper financial reporting, compliance with policies and adequacy of internal controls. Internships are available June through August, some travel is required. Up to eight weeks per year of travel will be necessary for Staff. Audit Internships are generally available during the spring semester or summer break.
As a BNN Tax Staff or Intern, you will be working directly with other BNN tax professionals to prepare federal and state tax returns and related work papers for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, individuals, and trusts. These tasks will require the gathering of relevant financial information and the assembly of such information into a work paper format. You will also utilize tax research tools to help determine the proper tax treatment of a variety of client transactions. Minimal travel is required. Internships are generally available January through April 15.
As a BNN Business and Technology Advisory Staff or Intern, you will participate in client discovery meetings where you will be responsible for documenting business processes, system requirements, control gaps and/or critical data. You will work with more senior consultants and assist in the summarization of findings based on analysis of the discovery information and overall day-to-day project management of various engagements. You will be working on real client engagements and will learn industry best practices, governance, process redesign and system needs by way of participating in client deliverables and client meetings. You are a motivated, self-learner and will have the opportunity to apply your previously learned knowledge to client engagements while absorbing new skills. The BTA practice is a dynamic practice with a client base that will expose you to a variety of business issues and solutions.
