To support a Kindergarten, General Ed. or Regular Ed. classroom by assisting the teacher with classroom responsibilities. Some available positions will work entirely remotely and some will work in person.
Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred.
3 to 5 years of experience working with young children
Must have experience and demonstrated ability to support young children
Must have experience and demonstrated ability to implement teacher-developed instructional modifications and activities
Must be able to coordinate with and work as a member of a team that includes special and general educators, other building staff, related service personnel, clinicians and parents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with classroom management
Establishes emotionally supportive rapport with students
Ensures information is shared between teachers when assistant is primary support person or other organizational meetings, as well as professional development as determined by principal
Assists Classroom teacher with implementation of curriculum, including the Tools of the Mind curriculum being used in Arlington.
Performs other related duties as delineated by teacher or other supervisor
Supervise arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and other duties
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 183-day, full time position.
