What better way for students and employers to meet one another to discuss potential job or internship opportunities than at a career fair? It is a great way for students to establish professional relationships and gather contact information from a number of employers from a variety of industries and to practice networking skills. Employers choose to attend in order to meet and recruit talented Merrimack students. The O’Brien Center for Career Development is excited about connecting students with industry professionals and offers a number of career fairs throughout the year.
The Fall Internship and Career Fair is scheduled to take place on Merrimack’s campus in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) in the Sakowich Center on September 28, 2022 from 1:30 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Career Fairs are open to all students from any majors, and we have a lot of resources available to help students prepare. In addition to the resources listed below, career workshops are offered throughout the semester.
Industry partners are invited to participate in the career fair and learn about other ways to get involved at Merrimack by sending an email to email@example.com.
Brian Colleoni-Pimenta ’21 detailed his experience finding unexpected opportunities that he may not have discovered otherwise had he not attended the fair in the article, Spring Internship & Career Fair Welcomes Highest Attendance Rate to Date as Students Seek Career Success. He states, “you’re at college not only for your education, but also to find possible career fields. These events are meant to be taken advantage of to help you find your passions and interests, as well as to develop your career.”
In this article, Tess McMahon ’20 expressed her encouragement for all students to attend, “It is wonderful for any student looking for a job or internship no matter what grade you are because it’s great exposure to different types of jobs and companies and prepares you for your future.”
