As a LGBTQ+ student, you likely have a lot of questions about accessing resources to promote your career development. The O’Brien Center for Career Development is here to help at all stages of the process. Within this affinity group, we have collected a variety of resources to help guide you along. Resources will cover common frustrations or concerns seen by LGBTQ+ students, financial resources in the form of Merrimack offices or scholarship websites, as well as identifying organizations on and off campus you may find of interest.
If you are interested in connecting further with a Career Advisor, visit Handshake to book an appointment. You can also email email@example.com with immediate questions.
Financial Resources at Merrimack College
You may want to connect with Merrimack offices regarding financial resources, such as:
- Office of Financial Aid – questions regarding your financial aid package awarded by Merrimack College
- Office of the Bursar – questions regarding student billing and parking
- Office of Student Employment – questions regarding on-campus positions
Additionally, Merrimack has partnered with a free financial literacy platform called iGrad to provide you and your family with important education on financial planning and money management. The McQuade Library guide provides resources to you supporting financial literacy and the Merrimack Financial Capability Center.
Merrimack Gender and Sexuality Alliance
GSA is an organization focused on spreading awareness and engaging the community on topics relating to gender identity and sexual orientation. This is an open and safe space for all LGBTQ+ folks and allies!
Stay tuned for Fall 2021 Meetings!
